Born and raised as an artist by beatniks in San Francisco, disciplined by nuns of The Little Sisters of Perpetual Motion, attended the finest schools, was at the opening of Disneyland, joined an all-girl theatre troupe at 13, turned sixteen, ran a gallery in the early 60's, attended the finest art schools, had sex, attended the Human Be-In, turned 21, lived in a veterinary hospital, rode the rails, met the Messiah, lived in a commune, more sex, got enlightened, got married, got busted, got divorced, performed, toured and recorded with a band, got married, moved to Maui in 1975, opened Faroutfits, moved back to San Francisco, got divorced, moved back to Maui, produced the Bill Best Variety Show for cable tv, worked for two decades as a popular radio personality and dj. Currently creating art with my Mac and music with my wife Bobbie--we've been married since 1988--and her band Bobbie Dee and the Stereotypes and living happily ever after-- mahalo very much--on Maui. |
